AVP-USA provides a way to obtain tax-exempt status for your Local AVP Group.  You would apply to the IRS for 501(c)(3) status as a “subordinate” of AVP-USA. This subordinate process is easier and less costly than obtaining your Group’s own independent tax-exempt status.
