The conference committee is excited about our 2013 venue. Please join us May 24 to 27, 2013 for reconnecting, fun, learning and relaxation. Three-Day Conference The traditional three-day conference begins at dinner on Friday evening and runs through lunch on Monday. Registration includes all program, overnight accommodation (except for Commuters) and meals for those three days. Pre-Conference In-Depth Workshop: Prison Day at Homestead Prison. This is an opportunity to connect two different faces of the AVP community – inside and outside facilitators, and strengthen our common voice. You will experience a series of basic and advanced AVP workshop exercises facilitated by teams that include current inside facilitators and you will give them the opportunity to be part of our national gathering. When: all day Friday. Fee includes lodging (unless Commuter), meals, and transportation. A background check will be required for all participants entering the institution; therefor registration MUST be received no later than March 30, 2013. Conference Hotel: Our Conference Hotel is Comfort Suites at 3901 SW 117 Ave, Miami, FL, 33175. See Comfort Suites All suites have a microwave, refrigerator, complimentary breakfast and access to the pool. There is free parking and internet. There will be regular free shuttle service between the hotel and the FIU campus. Registration is limited to individuals over 18 years old. Please complete one registration form per person. Refund Policy Your registration fee will be refunded if the registrar is notified before March 30. Refunds after this date will be reviewed by AVP-Miami and AVP-USA. Refunds will not be given for “no shows.” Registration Transfers If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another (AVP) person at no charge. The registrar must be notified by May 7. Scholarships are not transferable. We need your help so we can offer more scholarships for previously incarcerated and first-time attendees.
