WHO ARE THE PEACE FELLOWS?
Committed young community leaders with a passion for peace
We are trained facilitators in nonviolent conflict resolution —
part of a worldwide, grassroots movement dedicated to building peace by bringing transformative workshops on compassionate communication, conflict transformation and community building to diverse populations.
“For the last 3 years I worked for the Nebraska Legislature, serving as Legal Counsel to the Judiciary Committee. I left that job recently to pursue mediation and other restorative and transformative justice practices.”
– Diane Amdor, 2017 Peace Fellow, AVP Nebraska
Our goal is to raise $8,000 towards the Alternatives to Violence National Gathering in Boston (May 25-29th) and our community projects. Our participation at the Gathering gives us a chance to share experiences on the national level, and receive support with implementing far-reaching projects. We hope to affect positive change locally, while thinking globally.
