Keynote Speaker’s address at the 2010 National Gathering. Edwin “Eddie” Ellis was one of the original members of the Green Haven “think tank” a group of inmates who saw the need for training within the prison to reduce violence. That was pre-1975 when AVP began its first series of workshops there. Eddie recounts his recollections with the group of Quakers who helped develop and initiate the program. He also looks at the challenges to persons exiting the prisons in the 21st century and talks about efforts to engage the federal government in assisting. (DVD-R.
