The conference committee is excited about our 2019 venue.  Please join us May 24 to 27, 2019 for reconnecting, fun, learning and relaxation.

Three-Day Conference  The traditional three-day conference begins at dinner on Friday evening and runs through lunch on Monday.  Registration includes all program, overnight accommodation and meals for those three days

Day Fee The day rate for commuters includes conference program for one day.  Meals are "pay as you go".

Thursday and Friday Full-Day Program.The In-Depth  Workshops will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To register for a In-Depth workshops, add the Thursday and Friday workshops and 2 days lodging to your conference registration.  Or, just the Friday AVP-USA Board Retreat and one extra day. Accommodations 

On-Campus Accommodations are convenient and relaxing:

Single Rooms are plentiful at Mills College and the cost is very reasonable.   Plan to register early to get the best rate. 

Double Rooms are very limited.  We ask that couples only reserve these and register at the same time.   More information on the registration website. 

Linens are included in the room fee.

Meals   

Food Service will be provided by Bon Appétit which will accommodate special requests (Vegan, Diabetic etc) and has a reputation for fresh, local, organic foods.

Registration Changes

To make changes to an existing registration, do NOT use the NEW REGISTRATION link above.  Use the link in the confirmation email you received from RegOnline when you registered.

Refund Policy

Your registration fee will be refunded if the registrar is notified before April 24. Refunds after this date will be reviewed by AVP-CA and AVP-USA. Refunds will not be given for “no shows.”

Registration Transfers If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another  (AVP) person at no charge. The registrar must be notified by May 15.  Scholarships are not transferable.

SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE

AVP USA is pleased to be able to offer scholarships to the National Gathering. If you have a strong desire to attend the National Gathering, but can not afford to pay the full cost, you are encouraged to apply for a partial scholarship from AVP USA. The scholarship committee awards partial scholarships in order to help a greater number of people and with the hope that others in your life or in the AVP world will help you raise the remaining funds. Please request the amount that you truly need.  Apply soon!  

Before you submit your application please identify someone from your local AVP group who can recommend you, or if there is no active group, an AVP facilitator with whom you work.

The scholarship committee bases its decisions on your involvement with AVP, taking into consideration other factors such as:
  •           Formerly incarcerated facilitator
  •           Current Facilitator
  •           AVP/USA committee member
  •           Conference presenter
  •           Conference worker
  •       First-time attendee
  •           Underrepresented population
Scholarship Process 
  • Look for the APPLYING FOR A CORE CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP? choice toward the end of your online registration.
  • The maximum scholarship is for the amount to register for the CORE (Fri -> Mon) Gathering.
  • That amount will be provisionally deducted from your total registration fees when you register and apply.
  • The scholarship committee will consider your application and advise you of the actual amount of the award.
