Sorry for any inconvenience, please follow after April 4, 2011. PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AND SEND AN APPLICATION AS OF THIS DATE (MARCH 31, 2011) Partial Scholarship Assistance AVP-USA has scholarship funds available to assist those who could otherwise not afford to attend the conference. Scholarship grants help toward the payment of registration and travel and will be awarded based on the applicant’s statement of need. Priority will be given to previously incarcerated, National Officers and Committee Clerks, National Committee Members and First time attenders. Applicants will be asked to make some contribution to the cost of their attendance and to indicate how their participation in the conference will strengthen their local organization. Your local or region will also be required to support your request with funds. Scholarships are reviewed and made as applications are received. Because our funds are limited, you should apply as soon as possible. In the event that funds run out, new (first time) applicants may receive priority over those who received awards in the last 2 years. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply ON-LINE, using the link below. One application per form, please. To apply, complete a scholarship request form (which will include a separate registration form) and submit it to the Scholarship Committee. Your local AVP group will be asked to make their recommendation and indicate what supporting funds they will contribute. The scholarship Committee will respond back to you with their results after it is reviewed. Do not send money with your registration. Grants will be approved on a revolving basis (year-to-year). Please submit your forms to the Registrar early. All scholarship grants will be based on the Early Bird rates which end on March 26.
